Launch Safety and Spaceport Expertise
We’re here for you from the first design review, new contract, or management program consideration to launch day, contract award, and successful process improvement. We help launch providers, spaceports, supporting organizations, and federal agencies operate safely and maintain compliance.
About Us
Assured Aerospace Incorporated is an SBA-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, minutes from NASA Wallops Flight Facility and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport. The company was established in 2019, began operations in 2020, and received SBA certification in 2021.
We help launch providers, spaceports, federal agencies, and support organizations operate and fly safely and stay compliant with requirements. Our work covers FAA licensing, launch and range safety, spaceport operations, mission and quality assurance, propulsion test and payload safety, and mishap investigation.
Our leadership has successfully accomplished this work from every side of the table: as NASA’s safety authority at Wallops, as the General Manager of a commercial spaceport, and as an Air Force aircraft maintenance commander. We bring more than 40 years of hands-on experience to your program, so you reach launch day safely and on schedule. Personnel with current security clearance are available. FAA Licensing Support
An FAA launch or launch site license is often the longest item on a program’s schedule that is largely impacted by a federal agency and outside company control. We help you plan the path early with licensing strategy, perform 14 CFR compliance reviews, gap analysis, and assist with FAA coordination. Identifying critical licensing requirements early prevents costly late-cycle design changes to hardware development, processes, and required support agreements directly related to the license sought. We have managed FAA licensing for an operating spaceport and helped small companies pursuing launch operator licenses, so we know where applications stall and how to keep them moving.

Mission & Quality Assurance
We assist in the design of quality programs that withstand internal, customer, and third-party agency audits: QA program design, AS9100 quality management system implementation, flight hardware verification processes, and safety audit programs, including state and federal Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP). Our experience includes leading a spaceport through AS9100 certification, designing and leading a major NASA facility’s implementation of the OSHA VPP, and developing programs and processes that reduced internal agency safety audit findings at a government facility by 80% in two years.
Propulsion Test & Payload Processing
Rocket propulsion testing and hazardous payload processing leave little room for error. We provide test stand and ground launch system design review assistance, propellant test safety for liquid hydrogen, RP-1, liquid oxygen, methane, and high-test peroxide systems. We also provide non-hazardous and hazardous payload processing support, drawing on previous work with NASA test stands, Space Shuttle vehicle systems, numerous NASA operations, and managing hazardous payload processing at the Kennedy Space Center and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport.

Mishap Investigation
When something goes wrong, the response determines how quickly you return to normal operations. We lead or support mishap investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action, and recurrence control, applying direct experience from industrial accidents, space flight hardware failures, test article failures, and aviation accidents. These experiences range from “close calls” and “near misses” to major hardware losses and loss of life.
Contract and Proposal
Support
Every organization has a culture, and winning a contract with that organization depends on understanding it. We assist in federal contract proposal preparation, including technical research, proposal creation, and review. Our experience helping you review and understand organizational goals will greatly increase your chances of securing that government contract.
